The fallout from Manchester United's catastrophic Europa League final failure in Bilbao is continuing with the news that the club's hierarchy will entertain offers for EVERY player in the squad. No player will be immune from the axe, regardless of their standing.

This even includes captain Bruno Fernandes, as United face down a dire financial black hole. The devastating 1-0 loss to Tottenham saw United blow a place in next season's Champions League and an estimated £100million in revenue.

They will now not play in Europe at all next season for just the second time in 35 years. Without the additional revenue, United also have no choice but to sell players to raise funds for Ruben Amorim to strengthen his squad and bring in players who fit his philosophy and more unique style of play.

Here, Mirror Football takes a look at five United stars who could well be plying their trade elsewhere next season. Betfair has also provided odds of their likeliest suitors, provided they move on before September 2, 2025.

Alejandro Garnacho

While often a beacon of hope for United, 20-year-old Garnacho has endured a plethora of problems under Amorim, with behaviour issues chief amongst them.

Finding himself benched at times in recent months, the young Argentinian – once seen as the face of United's future – could well be on the hunt for a new club this summer, especially after his outburst to the media on Wednesday night.

Garnacho hit out over being benched for the Europa League final, with Mason Mount favoured on the left wing by Amorim. His comments in the press, as well as his brother and agent's message on Instagram digging out Amorim's bold call, won't do him any favours if he hopes to stay this summer.

Chelsea were among the teams linked with a move for him back in January, and it appears they remain a strong contender should he be sold.

Odds for Garnacho's next club:

Atletico Madrid - 4/1Chelsea - 5/1Juventus, Napoli - 15/2Inter Milan - 9/1AC Milan, Tottenham - 10/1Aston Villa - 22/1

Mason Mount

United's big money signing of 2023 has suffered a series of injuries and setbacks since joining the club from Chelsea for a staggering £55m.

While he has found some first-team opportunities of late, United could well be willing to cash in on the England international, with the 26-year-old having made just 25 appearances in all competitions this season. It seems unlikely, though, that United would be able to command close to the fee they paid for him, given his injury record.

Odds for Mount's next club:

Kobbie Mainoo

Mainoo burst onto the scene for United and England with the hope he could be the Red Devils' talisman for years to come. While primed with bags of talent, the 20-year-old has found himself at the mercy of injuries this season, while his form has dipped too.

One would imagine the Old Trafford faithful would prefer to keep Mainoo, yet the youngster is another now no longer safe from the axe this summer. Chelsea are known to be admirers.

Rasmus Hojlund

Is a return of 26 goals in 94 games enough for the 22-year-old who cost United around £64m in 2023? The jury is still out. The young Dane has shown flourishes of the talent that saw United take a gamble on him while turning it on for Atalanta.

However, all too often he has drifted in and out of games, while his abject performance in the Europa League final may live long in the memory. The club may look to cash in while he's still young, but it seems unlikely another Premier League team would take a punt on him.

Bruno Fernandes

United's captain and the player most likely to dig them out of the deepest holes time and time again – surely Fernandes isn't up for the cut? Well, if the Portuguese star's comments after the Europa League final are anything to go by, Fernandes, 30, could perhaps be about to bring his five-year association with the Red Devils to a close.

"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is," he said after the defeat to Spurs. "Football sometimes is like this. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go."

Despite turning 31 this coming September, United would still be able to demand a sizeable fee for the Portuguese star, given his continued output in a red shirt.

It could be a case of now or never with getting big money for Fernandes, but properly replacing him will be a tall order.

Top target Matheus Cunha plays further forward at Wolves. He is due to cost United as much as £62.5m – his release clause figure – and it remains to be seen what United's budget for the summer will be beyond that.
