Manager has received ‘powerful’ offer from Leeds United – Decided to move on this summer

Real Madrid legend Raul has received a ‘powerful’ off from Leeds United as he prepares to leave the Spanish giant’s Castilla side.

That’s according to AS, who say Raul has made the decision to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and head elsewhere this summer.

They explain that after seven years on the bench of La Fábrica, Raul has decided to move on after missing out on the top job once again. He’s been eyeing the Real Madrid senior position for several years but has been overlooked on each occasion.

Carlo Ancelotti’s departure offered him a new chance but again, he appears to have missed out to Xabi Alonso. As a result, he’s decided to move on.

The Spanish icon has been communicating his decision to his closest circle and the locker room and now the focus is on where he goes next.

That decision hasn’t been made but he’s received ‘powerful’ offers from Leeds United, Villarreal and Schalke already. Other clubs are expected to enter the mix before too long.

The interest from Leeds is nothing new as he’s been linked with Elland Road in the past, but an offer being made now is surprising given they’ve handed backing to Daniel Farke after he secured promotion from the Championship this season.

Perhaps if things don’t go well back in the Premier League for the German, Raul is a name to keep an eye on. AS at least insist that an offer has been made.
