Manchester United will be without European football next season after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham.
It was a night to forget for most of the Manchester United squad, as a loss to Tottenham in a final will stay with them.
Ruben Amorim got plenty wrong in the game, but despite this, United dominated possession, chances, and shots, which tells us that on another day, the trophy would be returning to Old Trafford.
There were several poor performers for United, with Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro both having bad days at the office.
The game once again highlighted the need for United to strengthen the attack ahead of next season. Fernandes had his worst performance of the season, which prompted talk on MUTV over signing more forwards to take the burden off the club captain.

Sammy McIlroy is excited about the potential signing of Matheus Cunha
After the game, many fans were keen to immediately forget the loss and instead cast their eyes to the summer and next season.
This was the case on MUTV, where Sammy McIlroy was looking at the players United could sign this summer, when Matheus Cunha was brought up as a deal that looks close.
“He could be perfect as a number 10. Very skilful Brazilian, unbelievable for a relegation-threatened Wolves side.

“That’s the type of player that we need, I must admit he is a little bit temperamental as well, so he’s going to have to be used well by Amorim.
“But on his day, he can be a match-winner and also a crowd-pleaser, which United fans love.”
Cunha is a big, big talent, and if he can translate his 17 goals and six assists in 35 games into United next season, he could be a big success.
Manchester United hoping to complete the Matheus Cunha deal imminently
For the past month, Cunha has appeared to be the deal that looks most likely for the Red Devils this summer, as it doesn’t depend on the money United would have received from Champions League qualification.
Now, with the season a few days from concluding, United in Focus has checked on the progress of this transfer with expert Graeme Bailey.
He explains that there is a good chance United’s deal to sign Cunha will be completed before the Premier League season concludes on Sunday, although it is unlikely to be made official.
Bailey also adds that Cunha won’t be going anywhere but to United, which points to the deal being all but completed barring the final touches.
United will be keen to wrap this move up and show fans that they are working to improve things, with the completion of Cunha also meaning other deals can be worked on.
