There has been an update on Ruben Amorim's future
Manchester United have offered a huge update on Ruben Amorim's future at the club.
Amorim could only watched as his Red Devils side melted in the steamy heat of the San Mames in the Europa League final. Tottenham Hotspur's scrappy first-half goal separated the two sides on Wednesday evening.
And despite losing in the final, and with the Red Devils on course to finish 16th in the Premier League, Amorim isn't at risk of being sacked by United.
According to Sky Sports, Amorim's appointment at the Red Devils has always, and continues, to be seen as a long-term project. And they are reporting he continues to have the full backing of the club.
Amorim himself questioned his future in the red half of Manchester in the immediate hours after the loss: "In this moment, I am not going to be here defending myself, is not my style," Amorim declared. "I cannot do it, is really hard for me.

"But I will not quit again. I am really confident in my job and, as you can see, I will not change nothing in the way I do things."

Amorim added: "What I can say is it was clear we were the better team but we managed not to score again and that is really hard to win football matches.
