Stephen A. Smith isn’t the only New York Knicks homer on morning sports talk television! FS1 star and former WFAN host Craig Carton certainly falls in that category as well. And it gave his Breakfast Ball co-host Danny Parkins plenty of ammo to work with on Thursday morning thanks to Tyrese Haliburton.
The Indiana Pacers did the unfathomable once again to the New York Knicks during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the latest rendition of the classic rivalry. And with a furious comeback led by Aaron Nesmith and Tyrese Haliburton, they led one of the most remarkable turnarounds in NBA playoff history to seal Game 1.
It was made even more of a classic by Haliburton paying homage to Reggie Miller sitting courtside working for the NBA on TNT, mimicking his classic choke gesture towards Spike Lee from the 1990s battles after tying the game and sending into overtime.
So naturally, Danny Parkins showed up to work on Thursday morning in a Tyrese Haliburton choke sign t-shirt, which is an impressive turn-around in such short order! Carton was ready for the bit with a Caleb Williams t-shirt to needle back at the former Chicago radio host. But Parkins had the last laugh when he also pulled out a Haliburton mug for good measure.

Later in the show, Craig Carton called it the second worst Knicks loss of his lifetime, surpassing Reggie Miller’s heroics in the Garden and only falling behind the NBA Finals Game 7 loss to the Houston Rockets.
