Manchester United winger, Alejandro Garnacho, has opened up with raw emotion following Manchester United’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

Despite playing a key role throughout the tournament, the young winger was left frustrated after being given just 20 minutes in the final. He lamented:

Fans react to Garnacho’s comment after UEL snub

Check out some of their comments below:

@Garnacho__utd:

“Yes he should have started garna, what does Mount give on the pitch the fella can’t even play 45 mins, not starting Garna was a mistake not trying to suck him but watching him this season he’s had ups and downs but can be a threat towards others teams can create chances and quick down the wing. 21 G/A btw may I add.”

@unthinkable_sn:

“No one should blame this guy. He did what he thought was best. If everything went well, we wouldn’t be hearing all this.”

@moodxfootball:

“Well… blaming Garnacho for one miss in a semi while Mount’s been missing all season is a wild deflection.”

@Cr7fanAdabra:

“You people just trying to blame the coach… Sometime, Garnacho don’t play well in football … we can’t judge that way.”

Amorim responds to Garnacho’s claim

Ruben Amorim, during the post-match conference held with the press, said the decision not to start the 21-year-old was the best for the team. He said:

“It’s easy to say that now”. “Who missed the big opportunity in the first half in the semi-final? Garnacho. Football is like that”.

“I’m confident in doing this job if the board let me. And as you can see, I am confident in my job”.

“I will NOT change anything in the way I do things. I’m not here to defend myself”.

In a recent statement, the Portuguese midfielder declared that he is not leaving anytime soon, putting fans at ease about his future at Old Trafford.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the captain said after the Europa League final loss to Tottenham:
