The New York Knicks didn’t just mess up on Wednesday night; they absolutely choked.
That’s according to Lou Williams, who spoke about the Knicks’ shocking loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
“This was a game the Knicks truly smoked. A lot of times, we say, ‘Did they choke, or did they give it away?’ No, this was a choke job. You make your free throws, we’re having a different conversation today. They didn’t finish their breakfast, and Indiana was able to get a big win from it,” Williams said on “Run It Back.”
Unlike New York, the Pacers were able to get what they needed in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals 😤

This is a loss that is going to linger in the minds of many Knicks fans for a very long time to come.
It seemed like they were incredibly close to crossing the finish line, and the Knicks held a huge lead with only minutes to go.
Things looked so comfortable for New York that many fans at home were probably changing the channel, thinking the game was done.
Instead of an easy Game 1 win, the Knicks committed the biggest “choke job” of the playoffs and the season.
Of course, this wasn’t just because of the Knicks, and the Pacers should receive a ton of praise because of how well they played.
Yes, the Knicks made mistakes, but the Pacers were able to capitalize on them and tie the game, force overtime, and then secure the win.
This game was a prime example of a team falling apart at the worst time and another rising to the occasion and earning a huge win.
