Blazers forward Toumani Camara named to NBA All-Defensive Second Team

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Portland Trail Blazers forward Toumani Camara has been named to the 2024-25 NBA All-Defensive Second Team, the team announced Thursday.

The team says Camara is the first Blazer to earn All-Defensive Team honors since Theo Ratliff in 2003-04.

The 25-year-old garnered a total of 116 steals, 277 defensive rebounds and 50 blocks in just his second NBA season in 2024-25. He also led the entire league in offensive fouls drawn (90) and charges drawn (31), plus ranked second in total defensive stops (257).

He was named February’s Western Conference Defensive Player of the Month.

The Blazers say Camara’s 116 steals finished the season ranked ninth in the NBA, while his 62 games with at least one steal were tied for fourth most.
