Rasmus Hojlund will have offers to leave Manchester United this summer with Serie A clubs interested in bringing the striker back to Italy.
The Denmark international scored 16 times in his debut season at Old Trafford following a £70million move from Atalanta but has endured a hugely disappointing 2024-25.
While United’s Europa League campaign – which ended in defeat to Tottenham in the final on Wednesday – offered some respite, Hojlund has been desperately poor in the Premier League, scoring just four times in 31 appearances.
Ruben Amorim has resolutely stood by the Dane with little other alternative at his disposal. But a new centre forward is expected to be signed this summer with Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres and Liam Delap of Ipswich Town two options being considered.
United’s decision to seek an upgrade leaves Hojlund’s future in doubt with Fabrizio Romano reporting Inter Milan are the latest club to register their interest.

The Nerazzurri have enquired into the striker’s availability and consider him an option for the summer transfer window.
Napoli and Juventus also contacted United over a move in March and April.
It was reported in March that United wanted £50m to sell Hojlund at the end of the season but it appears they have significantly slashed his price.

United would now be willing to offload the underperforming 22-year-old for just £30m, according to latest reports.
Hojlund failed to give Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero any trouble in United’s Europa League defeat on Wednesday having turned in another ineffective display against Chelsea the previous week.
That performance prompted a scathing review from United legend Roy Keane who believes both United and the player have run out of excuses for his form.
‘Hojlund looked like a young kid, he looked like he had come straight out of the academy,’ Keane told Sky Sports.

‘His runs weren’t right, his hold up play, his timing. If you’re a striker playing for Man United and you are having one shot on target… we make excuses for him saying he needs more confidence but when you are a striker up there, you have to make things happen sometimes.
‘What the big clubs have, what United always had, is strikers who can produce something by themselves because they have quality, desire, determination, a bit of experience, football intelligence.
‘You don’t see it with Hojlund. he needs a little bit of support but you need to do better.’
