The Ghanaian midfielder is close to seeing his current deal with the Gunners expire, with his contract set to finish off on June 30, 2025. However, the Arsenal manager has now given a positive update on their desire to give him a contract extension and retain his services for the long-term.

Arteta has confirmed his desire for Partey to stay at Arsenal beyond the 2024/25 season. Speaking on the 31-year-old midfielder’s future, the Spaniard stated: “Yes. There are question marks on a few of them so we’ll have to wait and see. But in regards to Thomas, consistency-wise, it’s been his best season. The way he’s played, performed, and his availability has been exceptional. He is a really important player for us.”
It appears that the Gunners’ gaffer is keen on having Partey to be a part of his squad for the near future. It’s already been reported that Arsenal are negotiating a new contract with Partey, but they want to change the structure of his wages, with the 31-year-old currently rumoured to be on £200,000-a-week wages.
How Has Partey Performed for Arsenal This Season?
To his credit, Partey has maintained impressive fitness levels for Arsenal this season and has only missed a few games because of injuries in the 2024/25 season. He has made 51 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing three assists across all competitions. Partey was especially impressive in Arsenal’s win over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and maintained consistency with his performances.

He has formed a solid bond with Declan Rice, allowing the Englishman more freedom to roam forward and cause damage.
