Saquon Barkley has sensationally claimed that the 2024 Philadelphia Eagles are among the top five NFL teams of all time.

Nick Sirianni and his players won Philadelphia's second Vince Lombardi Trophy back in February, beating the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

Barkley played a starring role in their championship run after joining from the New York Giants, breaking NFL records and forming a formidable partnership with the likes of Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles lost two of their opening four games of the 2024 season before going 16-1 as they made it all the way to the Super Bowl.

There, they dominated the Chiefs - who were chasing a historic three-peat - and Barkley insists they have not received the credit they deserve.

'I firmly believe when you look at our team that we had last year... I think we're a top-five team of all time,' he told teammates Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship on their podcast 'Exciting Mics'.

'If you really look at the season outside the first four games, it was belt to a**. How dominant you guys were on defense and how dominant we were on offense and special teams, people don't realize how great of a team that actually was.;

The Eagles won their four postseason games by a combined 68 points and Barkley claimed: 'Teams really stood no chance—you seen that in the playoffs, you seen that in the Super Bowl.

'I really think that when we look back on that 10-15 years and we're all old and we're reflecting on our glory days, the year that we had last year, people don't give us enough credit.'

Barkley picked the other teams that he considers to be the best of all time. They included the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, the 1972 Miami Dolphins and the 1985 Chicago Bears. Making up his top six were teams from the recent Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots dynasties.

Barkley recently came under fire from some fans after enjoying a round of golf with President Trump and then flying with him on Marine One.

He also spent timewith Theodore Kushner - the nine-year-old grandson of the president.
