Reggie Miller has been retired from the NBA for decades, but he still has no love lost for the New York Knicks.
That’s why having him there to call the Eastern Conference Finals vs. the Indiana Pacers felt like such a full-circle moment.
With that in mind, the broadcast cut right to him as soon as the Pacers completed their comeback win.

Tyrese Haliburton paid tribute to Miller during the game.
He replicated his iconic ‘choke’ gesture when he sank the buzzer-beating shot that forced overtime.
Granted, Haliburton most likely thought he had knocked down a game-winner, but the shot was ultimately ruled a two-pointer because his foot was on the line.
That must have been reminiscent of Game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference semis when Miller scored eight points in nine seconds to lead his team to a comeback win.
This time, however, it may have been even more painful.
The Knicks were just one minute away from jumping to a 1-0 series lead.
Instead, they lost at home and were dealt a massive morale blow.
The Pacers have proven to be the most resilient team in the league in these playoffs.
They’ve come back from big deficits multiple times, including two epic game-winners.
This, being TNT’s final broadcast of their deal with the NBA, with Miller calling the games, seems fitting.
It will certainly give Tyrese Haliburton and company plenty of motivation to take care of business against these lifelong rivals.
