The NBA has announced their All-Defensive first and second teams today, an honor awarded to the NBA’s best defensive performers. In recent years, the position requirement was removed from all defensive teams, so the 10 best defenders according to the voters regardless of position were selected. This is the second season that defensive voting has been positionless.

The first team members are as follows, Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels, Oklahoma City Thunder forward/guard Lu Dort, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley, and Houston Rockets guard Amen Thompson.

The second team members are as follows, Portland Trail Blazers forward Toumani Camara, Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams, and Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac.

Oklahoma City was the only team to have two members on the All-Defensive teams, and they will need them on their current run toward the title. There were many first timers this year, which shows just how talented the league’s future is, especially on the defensive end. Congratulations to every player who received this honor.
