The Golden State Warriors’ 2024-25 season came to an end in the second round of the NBA playoffs as they were eliminated in five games by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
This was not the ending to the season that Golden State had in mind after they looked like a true title contender after adding Jimmy Butler to their veteran duo of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green at the trade deadline.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, Curry ended up suffering a Grade 1 left hamstring strain in Game 1 of their second-round series against the Timberwolves and he was sidelined for the remainder of the series.

With Curry sidelined, the Warriors struggled on the offensive end and they were overmatched by the Timberwolves, losing the series in five games, ending their season.
While Curry’s injury was the major headline for the Warriors, one of their other key players reportedly suffered an injury during the postseason as well.
On Thursday, the Warriors announced that Moses Moody had surgery on a torn UCL in his right thumb but he is expected to be back in time for training camp.
Of course, Moody was seen at times late in the season with a wrap on his thumb and Golden State announced why with Thursday’s announcement.
This season, the 22-year-old guard averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 43.3% from the field and 37.4% from three-point range in the regular season.

While Moody put together the best regular season of his career, it was clear that something was up in the playoffs as he struggled shooting the ball.
In the playoffs, Moody averaged only 7.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 35.0% from the field and 33.3% from three.
It is clear that Moody’s struggles likely came from his injured thumb and he will now look to bounce back next season after having surgery on it.
