Arsenal are looking to improve Leandro Trossard’s contract with the club, but they don’t intend to extend it, according to a report.

James McNicholas reports for The Athletic that Leandro Trossard’s representatives are engaged in talks with Andrea Berta over his contract with the club, but Arsenal aren’t looking to offer the player an extension.
Trossard’s current deal runs until 2027, and the Gunners are evidently happy with that end date. But the club recognise that the player’s terms don’t reflect his importance in the squad.
The 30-year-old is a long way off Arsenal’s best-paid player, yet no one has made more appearances for the team this season than Trossard’s 55, even including starting goalkeeper David Raya.

If Arsenal don’t improve Trossard’s salary, the suggestion is that he’d be more likely to want to leave. The report mentions previous interest from Saudi Arabia, and other admirers in Europe’s big leagues.
The winger could still depart the Gunners this summer, if one of those interested clubs made an appropriate offer. If not, it seems Arsenal want to reward Trossard’s contributions and keep him happy in north London.

Trossard has 19 goals and assists in 2024/25, with only Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka notching more. Left-wing rival Gabriel Martinelli is at 16, having played very slightly more minutes.
