The Minnesota Vikings will begin Offseason Team Activities (OTAs) on Wednesday, and nobody is more excited than JJ McCarthy, something his head coach Kevin O’Connell has mentioned more than a few times recently.
Now healthy, the Vikings have all but crowned the redshirt rookie out of Michigan as their 2025 starter, after failing to keep Daniel Jones from leaving town for an easier QB competition in Indianapolis and making it clear to other potential veteran signees that McCarthy was going to get every opportunity to start in week one of the upcoming regular season.
Minnesota Vikings QB JJ McCarthy’s fiance is pregnant
But the world is learning on Friday, after he made the announcement via Instagram Thursday night, that JJ McCarthy’s fiance, Katya Kuropas, is pregnant with their first child and it’s a boy. The two — who first started dating in high school — have been together for 6.5 years. They made their engagement official in January, 2024.
If we know anything about JJ McCarthy, it’s that he is loyal. That’s part of what makes him such a great leader. Just ask Jim Harbaugh and his former teammates at Michigan. And I have little doubt, given what we know publicly about this kid, that he will make a great father too.
