Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals provided many fireworks and will go down as one of the more exciting playoff comebacks of all time.
According to NBC News, teams leading by at least 14 points in the final 2:45 of the fourth quarter had been 994-0 since play-by-play tracking began.
Tyrese Haliburton hit what he believed was the game-winning shot after the ball bounced off the back of the rim into the air and came straight down for the basket. But after review, it was deemed his foot was on the line, sending the game to overtime.
Charles Barkley calls on NBA to make crucial decision
Right after the shot, Haliburton looked toward the scorer's table where Reggie Miller, who famously gave Spike Lee the choke sign in 1994, sat doing color commentary for TNT, and re-enacted the moment himself.
Neither team backed down and the overtime was a hard-fought one, but the Pacers prevailed to take a 1-0 series lead.
Following the excitement, Charles Barkley pleaded with the NBA to allow Haliburton's father to return to watch his son play.
"I'm asking you and the Indiana Pacers to let Mr. Haliburton back in the building for Game 3 and 4," Barkley said. "He paid his dues. It shouldn't be indefinite. He's been punished enough."
John Haliburton was banned from attending Pacers games after storming the court and waving a towel in front of Giannis Antetokounmpo's face after they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
It will be electric once the Pacers return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Games 3 and 4, even more so if Adam Silver does allow Haliburton's father back in.
The Knicks will attempt to even the series when the teams meet again on Friday night.
