ANDONI Iraola was ‘really happy’ for Daniel Jebbison to score at Manchester City, saying the striker has been working hard and finishing the season strong.

Jebbison struck in stoppage time at the Etihad Stadium, cutting out a poor Matheus Nunes pass at the back and racing through one-on-one with Ederson in the City net, finishing under the keeper.

It was the Canadian’s first Premier League goal for the club, having scored twice for the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) in the FA Cup this season, against West Brom and Everton.

The boss said the striker is improving every week, after he returned to Bournemouth after an unsuccessful loan spell at Watford.

Asked about Jebbison’s goal, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think Jebbo is finishing well also the season. He's training well. Someone who has the physicality, probably he needs to improve the tactical side.

“He hasn't been with us a lot so I think he's getting better, in how we press, how we attack the spaces, how he can benefit from this kind of pressures.

“Our nines always, Solanke, Evanilson, have scored these kinds of goals putting pressure on defenders, benefiting with these small mistakes.

“And I'm really happy for him because even if was very late, I'm sure for him has been a good thing.”
