Renowned journalist, David Ornstein, has provided a new update on Liverpool’s interest in Bournemouth left-back, Milos Kerkez, confirming the player is being monitored ahead of a potential summer move.
There have been suggestions that Andy Robertson’s injury concerns and Kostas Tsimikas’ future have led the club to explore potential alternatives, with Kerkez’s profile fitting the system Liverpool intend to evolve into.

Ornstein addressed the circulating rumours about Kerkez’s potential transfer to Liverpool in a Q&A for The Athletic. He clarified:
“It’s not done. Liverpool are his priority and he is their top target but they will have other options, too. The likes of Real Madrid and Man City also have him on their radars but not as the top option. It’s not advanced club-to-club yet, but clearly that can change at any point – if Liverpool (or anyone else) are ready to offer the sort of money Bournemouth are seeking. It is expected he moves but that doesn’t mean it’s imminent.”
Kerkez joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and has already made a strong impression in the Premier League. If Liverpool do push ahead, he could provide competition and a long-term solution in the left-back position.
His potential move to Liverpool fits with the club’s strategy to strengthen their defensive options, especially with the anticipated arrival of right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
