First half goals from Divin Mubama and Ashton Muir helped City lift the prestigious trophy for a record-breaking fourth time.

And after the full-time celebrations, Alleyne was quick to point out City’s second goal was due to the hard work of our coaching staff, led by Wilkinson and assistant Mudd.

In training, City worked on playing deep crosses into the back post with the ambition to head home the ball.

And Muir did just that for City’s second, teed up beautifully by Alleyne.

“It was a long build-up in to the game,” began the 19-year-old.

“Ben [Wilkinson] and Muddy [Craig Mudd] both got it spot on with the tactics and we all trusted them and believed that if we listened to them it would get us across the line. So we listened, we trusted and worked hard.

“We’re just happy. Obviously winning the league and then the new format going into the play-offs, we just wanted to show how good we are.

“I’ve played with this group of lads for so long now and I’ve enjoyed every year and just happy to end it all off with a win.”
