Birmingham City will be out to make a splash in the transfer window this summer and numerous players have been linked already.
Birmingham City have already been touted as a destination for many players this summer. It is sure to be a long few months for BCFC, who will be an attractive option for many on the move this summer.
One man heading for pastures new is striker Danny Ings, who will be leaving West Ham United when his contract at the end of June.

And, earlier this week, reporter Graeme Bailey tipped Birmingham City and Wrexham as potential destinations for 32-year-old Ings, though it remains to be seen whether he would entertain a drop to the Championship despite the ambitions of the Blues and the Red Dragons.
However, while City have the money to sign players of such a profile, there could be better out-of-contract strikers on the market. Here, we put forward three for the club to consider…
Davie Selke – Hamburg SV
Birmingham City have looked to the German market before and if they want an experienced and proven goalscorer, Selke could be an intriguing option for the club to consider.
The 30-year-old striker only signed a year-long deal upon arrival at Hamburg last summer and after bagging 23 goals in 33 games, Selke is out of contract.
He fired them to promotion and a stay in the Bundesliga will have appealing options but with his contract still running down, an ambitious club like BCFC could find something different to what they already have in Selke.

Emil Riis – Preston North End
It could also be wise for Birmingham City to consider someone who has Championship experience to their name though. If that is preferred, Danish ace Emil Riis might be the perfect option.
At 26, he is at a great age to continue kicking on and can play a part in the Blues’ journey through the leagues over the coming years. Of departing Championship strikers, he is perhaps the best available.
However, with a respectable record of 41 goals and 11 assists in 172 second tier games, Riis is sure to have options elsewhere this summer.

Tim Lemperle – 1.FC Koln
Last but not least is another German option in the form of Tim Lemperle. He too won promotion to the Bundesliga this season as 1.FC Koln lifted the 2. Bundesliga title.
However, it has already been confirmed that the 23-year-old is leaving the club. That opens the door for ambitious sides like BCFC to make their move.
Lemperle managed 10 goals and six assists in 25 league games. He can play as a striker or right winger and could be a cheap and versatile option for Birmingham City to weigh up.
