**Friday morning saw Adidas and Newcastle United officially unveil the home kit for the 2025/26 season.**
After many leaks, the design has been confirmed to be one we have seen before, and the shepherd's check design with the blue trim is indeed the look the Magpies will sport next season.
The kit has been criticised by some as being too Juventus-like but the majority of fans seem to really love the new design.
I wasn't a fan when I first saw it, but seeing Joelinton sporting the shirt, I'm warming to it.

The new kit will be worn by the players on Sunday
-------------------------------------------------
Nick Pope, or indeed whoever our goalkeeper is next season, will sport an electric blue kit which is absolutely stunning.
As [confirmed by the official website](https://www.newcastleunited.com/en/news/2025-26-newcastle-united-home-kit), the kit will go on sale on Thursday, 29th May at 9 am, but you can get your first real look at it on Sunday at St James' Park as the lads will be wearing the new kit when they take on Everton in the final game of the season. It feels like the days of old with the team wearing next season's kit in the final game of the season. For years, we had to wait until well after the season had ended just to to see the next design. Adidas are taking us back to the good old days.
Peter Silverstone delivered a message along with the shirt release stating that the Foundation initiative will continue this year.
> _“This season’s kit launch is about more than just what our players wear on the pitch – it’s about supporting our community. Building on our home kit foundation donation initiative of last year, this year, for every adult home, away and third shirt sold through official club channels before the end of August we’ll be donating £5 to the Newcastle United Foundation. It’s a way for supporters to not only wear the badge, and the beautiful new kits with pride, but to directly contribute to the life-changing work the Foundation does across the region. Together, we’re making a difference – on and off the pitch.”_
We can't wait for the traditional Saudi backlash when the third kit is released
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're still waiting for the official unveiling of the second and third kits, but we're expecting a callback to the 1997/98 away kit with the blue base and offset orange and green stripes for the away kit.
Sticking with the post-takeover tradition, the third kid will be a variation of green and white to represent our Saudi Arabian backers. We can't wait for the backlash again on that.
What are your thoughts on the new kit? Will you be in the queue at 9am next Thursday?
