Following a challenging season for Manchester United, Ineos, along with Ruben Amorim, will attempt to sign players who can elevate the team to the next level.
Manchester United lost 1-0 against Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday night. It saw the end of a European campaign that looked promising, but fittingly crashed once the Reds came up against Premier League opposition.
That is because United’s league form has been abysmal this season. After losing 18 of their 37 games, the Red Devils are set to finish either 16th or 17th in the table.
United take on Aston Villa in the final game of the season at Old Trafford on Sunday. While the visitors are competing for a Champions League spot, United enter the game winless in their last eight league matches (D2 L6), having lost the last three in a row.
This has made it a difficult season for United fans, who have travelled across the UK and Europe to follow their beloved team, having to endure underwhelming performances from the players regularly.

Ruben Amorim sets new demand for Ineos
After a disastrous campaign, there will be consequences for members of the United first-team.
Many could be shown the door and that would make room for Amorim to make new signings.
More United News
Ineos know that the squad requires investment and they will be working with Amorim to identify the right players to take United forward next season and beyond.
United are believed to be working on deals to sign Premier League duo Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap, however, Amorim will want to ensure that the midfield and defence improve too.
According to ESPN, Amorim wants United to target players who will add pace, power and athleticism to his midfield.
The former Sporting CP manager has reportedly made it clear to the club’s recruitment team that he wants greater energy and mobility in midfield due to concerns that his existing options lack the key attributes to compete in the Premier League.
Interestingly, Amorim left Manuel Ugarte out of his starting line-up to face Tottenham in the Europa League final. The Uruguay international was overlooked despite costing United an initial £42m (potentially rising to £50.7m) last summer.
Sources have told ESPN that Amorim went into the Europa League final ‘worried’ about his team’s ability to match Spurs physically in Bilbao.
Amorim’s signing so far
After becoming United’s head coach in November, Amorim has only had one transfer window to bring in players, albeit with a restricted budget.
United made just two additions to their first team in Amorim’s initial transfer window, but they didn’t sign a striker, even though one was desperately needed.
Ayden Heaven joined from Arsenal, costing a fee reportedly worth £1.5 million.
Denmark international Patrick Dorgu also joined from Lecce in a deal worth an initial £24 million.
Amorim will be hoping to add more players to his squad ahead of a crucial 2025/26 campaign.
