Man Utd staff told they've lost jobs in new 'Jim Reaper' Sir Jim Ratcliffe cuts

Manchester United have already started telling staff they have lost their jobs in the latest round of brutal cuts.

Just days after Ruben Amorim's side lost the Europa League final to Tottenham in Bilbao, INEOS have begun the process of their latest wave of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's cost-cutting measures.

According to the Daily Mail, some of the 200 employees at risk of redundancy are being informed of their position this week.

Chief executive Omar Berrada told staff in February that more redundancies were to follow as part of a 'transformation plan' aimed at returning the club to 'profitability'. United previously cut 250 jobs last year.

The Mail reports that sources are surprised at the time of the news being delivered to staff just days after the Europa League final. However, the club are seemingly keen to make savings as soon as possible after missing out on the £100million windfall that Champions League qualification would have guaranteed.

Morale is said to be low inside the club, and Ratcliffe was reportedly booed when he appeared on screen at the Europa League final by United staff, who watched the game at a viewing party.

Following the Europa League final, disgraced Sky Sports host Richard Keys posed the question of Ratcliffe: "Well done @SpursOfficial Now what? And what does the Jim Reaper do? The fall out from this final is going to be something the likes of which we’ve never seen."

United's defeat has seen the club take drastic action, with the entire squad being put up for sale. Previously considered irreplaceable players, including Bruno Fernandes, could now find their Old Trafford futures at risk.

The Red Devils will not play European football of any kind next season, and due to crippling financial restraints, finances will have to be raised through player sales to fund Amorim's rebuild.
