Arsenal lead Chelsea in race for talented Bundesliga ace

Arsenal and Chelsea are both showing interest in young English stat ahead of summer window. As of now, the North side of London is leading the race.

Gunners are headed for the summer window with an aim of strengthening their attack. They are set to sign new striker and a winger. Mikel Arteta will be backed by the board as he is keen to end their Premier League title drought.

Dortmund will miss Champions League football next season. Hence, many of their current stars are set to leave. They are ready to let players like Gittens leave. The English youngster is said to have already informed his teammates about his departure at the end of the season.

Arsenal leading the race for Jamie Gittens

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal are currently leading Chelsea in the race for Gittens. But, the West London club are unwilling to give up without a fight. The report also adds that Newcastle United also hold strong interest.

Gittens is tied to Dortmund with a contract running until 2028. Hence, the German giants are in strong position when it comes to negotiations. Gittens is said to cost around €55 million. Both, Arsenal and Chelsea are in good financial state to afford signing the 20 year old.
