Ruben Amorim has the luxury of a near fully fit Manchester United squad to chose from ahead of their final Premier League game of the season at home to Aston Villa.

Motivation for this fixture amongst the Man United players might be low with nothing to play for. Though there is the incentive of at least matching Tottenham’s result to avoid further humiliation.

Should the Red Devils lose against Villa, not only will they have failed to accumulate 40 points, they will also be at risk of finishing 17th - one place above the Premier League relegation zone - to put an exclamation point on the worst campaign in the club’s history.

Of course, Man Utd go into the game on the back of losing the Europa League final to Spurs on Wednesday night.

As a result, Amorim’s side missed out on a trophy as well as Champions League qualification and will not be playing European football of any description next season.

The one positive for United from this week’s events has been a triple injury boost. Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot and Leny Yoro all featured in Bilbao and should be in contention to face Villa.

With Matthijs de Ligt a doubt after missing the last four matches, it means Lisandro Martinez is Man Utd’s only long-term absentee.

Amorim could opt for heavy rotation with the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, Altay Bayindir, Victor Lindelof, Harry Amass and Manuel Ugarte all pushing to start having been named on the bench in Bilbao.

There is a decision to make in attack as Rasmus Hojlund has struggled of late but with Zirkzee perhaps not ready to start following his injury lay-off, it could open the door for youngster Chido Obi to lead the line.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Bayindir; Lindelof, Maguire, Yoro; Amad, Fernandes, Ugarte, Amass; Mainoo, Garnacho; Obi

Injured: Martinez

Doubts: De Ligt
