Liverpool have a busy summer ahead of them with the future of Luis Diaz still hanging in the balance.
Jeremie Frimpong is already on his way to Anfield to replace the outgoing Trent Alexander-Arnold, but that’s likely just the start of how things are going to go for Liverpool.
Arne Slot has turned the Reds into one of the most dominant teams in the Premier League this term, and they’ll no doubt want to retain the title next season as well.

However, with many changes set to come at Liverpool, it’s not much of a surprise to see Barcelona once again reigniting their interest in Diaz.
Barcelona are already in ‘talks’ with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz
Reports emerged on Thursday that Barcelona were set to focus on developing their own talent rather than looking at the transfer market for reinforcement, which seemed to be good news for Liverpool.
However, as per a report from journalist Uriel Lugt, Barcelona are already in ‘talks’ with Diaz.
The report adds that the coming days will show ‘possible’ progress regarding the deal being made.
Lugt also drops a bombshell at the end of his report, which states that Diaz would be ‘willing’ to leave Liverpool in the summer.

Luis Diaz cannot be allowed to leave Liverpool
Indeed, there have been times when Diaz’s form has been questionable at Liverpool, but more often than not this season, he’s shown up and proven his worth.
The Colombia international has featured both as a striker and on the left wing, with these performances often being the second-best on the team, behind Mohamed Salah, of course.

Granted, there’s likely a multitude of better players available on the transfer market, but with Alexander-Arnold leaving for Real Madrid and Andy Robertson seeming to have passed his best, Slot needs to focus his moves on more important areas.
Milos Kerkez is another potential target that has been thrown into the ring for Liverpool to acquire, but at the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what they’ll do.
Only time will tell whether Diaz exits Anfield, but if he does, his place in the team will have to be filled, especially if Liverpool want to be as dominant as they have been this season.
