PFF makes it crystal clear Malik Nabers is already among NFL’s best

Everyone saw just how dynamic and dangerous Malik Nabers was during his rookie season for the New York Giants.

After going through a carousel of quarterbacks, Nabers still had an exceptional year. The former sixth overall pick finished with 1,204 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while also breaking the Giants’ franchise record for most single-season receptions with 109. It’s safe to say the Giants have found their next star for years to come.

As Nabers gears up for his second NFL season, the 21-year-old may be in for another huge year — especially with veteran QB and Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson now throwing him the football, along with potential opportunities from Jaxson Dart, whom the Giants selected 25th overall in this past draft. With expectations rising, Pro Football Focus also seems to think Nabers won’t endure a sophomore slump in 2025.

PFF ranks Malik Nabers as the 12th-best wide receiver ahead of the 2025 campaign

Ahead of his much-anticipated second season, Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus ranks Nabers as the 12th-best wideout entering the 2025 campaign.

"Nabers was outstanding in his rookie season despite inconsistent quarterback play. He earned an 87.1 receiving grade — ninth best in the league — and averaged 2.17 yards per route run, an impressive mark for a first-year receiver that suggests even greater production as the offense improves around him," Sikkema wrote.

With the NFL packed with elite wide receivers like Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase, this is quite the bold ranking for Nabers, considering he’s only played one season. And after enduring a rookie year with the likes of Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and even Tim Boyle under center, one can only wonder what Nabers can do with more consistent quarterback play.

While the Giants may be in for another tough season in 2025 — considering they have the hardest strength of schedule in the league — this high wide receiver ranking for Nabers definitely gives Giants fans something to be excited about once Week 1 kicks off.
