Potter: no experiments this weekend

Graham Potter has been addressing the media ahead of this weekend's final game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

The Hammers Head Coach, who celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this week takes his team to Portman Road on Sunday for the final test in what has proved to be an arduous season for Irons supporters.

And during his pre-match presser he answered a series of questions regarding the upcoming fixture and his plans for the summer ahead - not to mention him having reached the magic half-century!

"We've had a good two or three days of training, it's been good and the boys are looking forward to the final match," said Potter. "It's been a long season but one more push and we'll do everything we can to win the game.

"We need to be competitive, we need to be solid and we need to be respectful of the challenge - it's the last Premier League game for them at home so they'll want to finish in a good way, as we do. But we want to play with a purpose and positivity and try to win the match."

Having confirmed that he expects to have the same personnel available as was the case for last weekend's match against Nottingham Forest, Potter hinted that he wouldn't be trying anything experimental against Ipswich.

"Our focus is to try and win the match," he insisted. "Trying something [new] with just one game to go doesn't make sense. It's about being consistent with what we're trying to do and attacking the game the best [way] we can."
