David Moyes held his final pre-match press conference of the season on Friday when the Everton boss addressed the media ahead of the trip to Newcastle United.
The Scot addressed a number of issues, including contract concerns, as he confirmed that a club announcement would be made on Monday, with question marks over the future of several players, such as striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Meanwhile, Moyes praised Abdoulaye Doucoure’s contributions to the club after it was announced that he would be leaving upon the expiry of his contract.

He said: “I think he’s been a great servant to the club, he’s done a great job over many years here. We made him an offer and he’s got a better one to go elsewhere. So, from that point of view, we have to live with that.
“I remember him greatly from his Watford days and here as well. I can only say from since I’ve been here, he’s been really good. We’ve just about selected him in every game we’ve played, so we’ll miss him, and I’ve got no hard feelings from his decision.”
Moyes also reflected on Everton’s great form ever since his arrival and challenged his side to continue their momentum into the Hill Dickenson Stadium next season.
He said: "I’m really pleased to get the points, that we’ve finished above an awful lot of good sides and the players have done a brilliant job. We now need to pick that up again, start the next season and hopefully take it into the new stadium."
And Moyes has praised the crowd countless times as one of the main reasons for the Blues’ great form over the past few months and called the last game at Goodison Park against Southampton "incredibly special".
He said: “It was a brilliant day for so many and the crowd were fantastic on the day.
“We got a result which was the most important thing, we didn’t play at our best, but we had done enough to win.

“I think to have a support which comes in its numbers the way it did was immense.
“The fanbase which the club has got is ready for success in some sort.”
