**Luka Modrić has announced that he will not extend his contract with Real Madrid**, bringing to a close a magnificent chapter in his career during which he became the **most decorated player in the club’s history**.
Over the course of **13 seasons in Madrid**, Modrić won a total of **28 trophies**, including **six UEFA Champions League titles** and **four La Liga championships**.
His impressive collection also includes **two Copa del Rey titles**, **five Spanish Super Cups**, **five UEFA Super Cups**, **five FIFA Club World Cups**, and **one Intercontinental Cup**. He played **590 matches** for Real Madrid, scoring **43 goals** and recording **95 assists**. Among his many individual honors are the **Ballon d'Or in 2018** and the **FIFA The Best award**.
Before joining Real Madrid, Modrić won **three league titles, two domestic cups, and a Super Cup with Dinamo Zagreb**, though he did not claim any silverware during his time with **Tottenham Hotspur**. With the **Croatian national team**, he finished as a **World Cup runner-up**, earned **third place**, and won **silver in the UEFA Nations League**.
