The Pittsburgh Steelers will begin their mandatory team minicamp on June 10 and it will run through June 12. They are hoping to have a decision from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers by that point.
Rodgers has been connected to the Steelers all offseason long. He is still expected to be the starting quarterback for the team when the 2025 NFL season begins. However, he has not signed a deal yet.
At 41 years old, Rodgers could be the difference between a run at a Super Bowl and missing the playoffs. Bringing him onboard would be that valuable for Pittsburgh.
While there have been a lot of updates over the last couple of months about the status of Rodgers and his stance on the Steelers, nothing has seemed to move forward. Now, there is a glimmer of hope.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, there might be a timeline in place for Rodgers to join Pittsburgh.
During an appearance on ESPN Milwaukee, Schefter opened up about Rodgers and revealed more information.
"My guess is he's gonna wind up going (to Pittsburgh)," Schefter said. "I think that we've heard Art Rooney, the team owner, say he expects Aaron Rodgers to sign there, and they have mandatory minicamp June 10th to the 12th. So, I would think that Rodgers is on the table here in the next week or so."
Last season with the New York Jets, Rodgers completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. It wasn't his best season, but it was still a very good year for most NFL quarterbacks.

That production would be a major step in the right direction for the Steelers from what they had under center last year. He would instantly take the offense to the next level.
Looking around the NFL, there are no other opportunities that can offer Rodgers a chance to compete for a Super Bowl. He was interested in the Minnesota Vikings, but they seem to be going all-in on J.J. McCarthy as their quarterback.
Assuming he does want to play and wants to compete, Pittsburgh is the route for him to take. More than likely, he'll work something out to finalize a deal with the Steelers in the near future.
