Man United boss wants his former player at Old Trafford

Man United are headed for a busy summer window after a tough season. They are set to back Ruben Amorim in rebuilding the squad. As of now, the Portugese wants to sign his former player.

According to Thetre of Red, United are showing interest in Pedro Goncalves. In addition, the report adds that the player is ready to join United as he is keen to reunite with his former boss Ruben Amorim.

Goncalves is 26 years old and has play as both winger and attacking midfielder. He has been superb for Sporting ever since joining them in 2020. He has played 197 games for the Portugese giants and has scored 82 goals along with picking 50 assists.

Goncalves can come as a perfect replacement for Garnacho who used to play on both wings. In addition, he can serve as backup for Bruno Fernandes. The 26 year old is in his prime and hence will have an instant impact.

United are also busy in the market eyeing other options. As for striker, they have Delap whereas for wide forwards they have Matheus Cunha. Lastly, they are also keeping tabs on both Semenyo and Mbeumo who are both having a very good season.
