West Ham Weigh Up Moves For THREE Chelsea Players As Potter And Macaulay Plot Raid On Former Club

West Ham are keeping tabs on three Chelsea defenders ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Hammers boss Graham Potter and head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay are said to be interested in bringing Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo and/or Axel Disasi to the London Stadium.

TBRFootball claim that Chelsea are expected to make the trio “available” as they look to raise funds for their own transfer business.

Chalobah was only brought back from his loan spell at Crystal Palace in January and, along with Tosin, head coach Enzo Maresca has started them on a regular basis over the past five months.

However, the pair would both go down as pure profit on the balance sheet, with Chalobah being homegrown and Tosin having been signed as a free agent from Fulham last year.

Disasi is currently at Aston Villa

There is less clarity about the future of the third Chelsea player mentioned, Axel Disasi. The 27-year-old moved to Villa Park on loan at the start of this year.

The Midlands club do not have the option to buy the defender on a permanent basis, and the Frenchman has not played regularly in recent weeks. There is a feeling that he may return to Stamford Bridge before being sold to another team.

West Ham are keen on reinforcing the backline

The interest in the Chelsea trio is not a complete surprise when you consider that Potter has limited options in the centre of defence. The club currently have just three senior centre-halves and there are doubts about the futures of two of them – Konstantinos Mavropanos and Max Kilman.

If the likes of Chalobah and Tosin, in particular, are on the market, and they can be signed for reasonable fees, you can see why the Irons would be keen to snap them up.
