Troy Deeney names manager who would keep Leeds United in the Premier League instead of Daniel Farke

Daniel Farke seems to have been handed the reins of managing Leeds United in the Premier League next season.

Of course, the German will need backing from the ownership, and he’s getting exactly that with Paraag Marathe loving Farke’s belief.

But question marks will appear if Farke doesn’t get the required signings for the squad in what is such a competitive Premier League nowadays.

So far, the rumours look good for the Whites as Marathe wants Mateus Fernandes as a ‘priority’, but time will tell if that deal comes to fruition.

Considering Farke was losing Leeds fans’ faith, Troy Deeney still isn’t convinced and has suggested a new name for Leeds.

Troy Deeney tips Sean Dyche for Leeds United in stern message

With Farke hoping to have the full season to prove his worth, the 49ers might not be as patient if things start off sour.

That’s ultimately up to the ownership though, who have promised Farke £100m to spend this summer.

Marathe seems like a man who means business, going off the start of the weeks leading up to the window’s opening.

It’s set to be an exciting few months, but Deeney is still confused to the fact why Farke is in charge.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Deeney believes Farke must tweak his style of play and fancies former Everton boss Sean Dyche to do a better job with all the elements considered.

“I think people keep getting fixated on the last two seasons because we’ve seen Fulham go up and are now fighting for Europe,” Deeney said.

“That’s happened in the last five years, so it’s a case of going up and not having the right recruitment strategy, and not having an understanding of having a style of play and tweaking it to stay up.

“If we gave Leeds Dyche, would you put money on them staying up?”

Dyche could be a second-half season solution if Farke fails at Leeds

It’s a bold claim in itself to say a manager like Dyche should take over a club firmly looking to improve in footballing terms.

Marathe wants Leeds in Europe, and by appointing managers like Dyche, there is no chance of that happening.

However, if the Whites find themselves in a spot of bother come December, Dyche joining for the second part of the season might not be the worst idea in the world.

Leeds will need to make sure they are hard to beat, and no better manager does that than Dyche.

Deeney backs Burnley to stay up and not Leeds due to this factor, so it might just be something for Farke and his coaches to consider.
