Florian Wirtz is the talk of the town at the moment, with Liverpool being heavily linked with a move for the Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid.
The attacking midfielder is earning interest from Liverpool and other European giants, including Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
And, although no official moves have been made by any of the interested parties, Liverpool seem to be most interested in acquiring his services.

That is, despite the Anfield outfit having already secured the services of Jeremie Frimpong ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Florian Wirtz is househunting in Liverpool after recent transfer rumours
As per a fresh report from German journalist Christian Falk, Wirtz is currently ‘househunting’ in Liverpool.
Falk shared the news via his website CF Bayern Insider and stated that Wirtz’s team are playing the transfer saga ‘quite openly.’
The report adds that Liverpool and Bayern are the two teams most interested in the midfielder, with Wirtz keeping each club informed of what they’re doing with one another.
Falk also outlines that the highest amount Vincent Kompany is willing to go to would be £84.6million, whereas Leverkusen want a fee in the region of £126.1million for their star boy.

Since Liverpool were first rumoured to have an interest in the number 10, it’s been made well aware that Wirtz’s preferred destination would be Bayern.
Kompany’s team are by far the best in the Bundesliga, and it’s a league that the 22-year-old knows he can master, especially after the numbers he’s put out in the 2024-25 campaign.

His creative flair alongside his versatility to play as an attacking midfielder or as the focal point in Slot’s attack are just two of the reasons why Liverpool need to do everything in their power to bring him in.
It would also allow Dominik Szoboszlai to move into the number eight role, where he thrived against Brighton during their 3-2 defeat on Monday.
Of course, only time will tell what the future holds, but at the moment, the 2025-26 season is shaping up to be a rather interesting one for Slot and co.
