Sami Mokbel reports for the BBC that Leandro Trossard is in advanced talks with Arsenal over a new contract, with all parties now confident of reaching an agreement.
Talks have reportedly been ongoing since January, but they’ve accelerated in recent weeks. Multiple sources now indicate negotiations are likely to reach a positive conclusion.
Andrea Berta has been lead the recent talks, and Trossard has reportedly informed the club that his priority is to stay.

James McNicholas reported for The Athletic this week that though Trossard is indeed in talks for a new contract, Arsenal aren’t looking to offer the player an extension.
Trossard’s current deal runs until 2027, and the Gunners are evidently happy with that end date. But the club recognise that the player’s terms don’t reflect his importance in the squad, so they want to offer him a pay increase.
The 30-year-old is a long way off Arsenal’s best-paid player, yet no one has made more appearances for the team this season than Trossard’s 55, even including starting goalkeeper David Raya.

Trossard has had interest from Saudi Arabia in recent windows, and he has other admirers in Europe’s big leagues. But Arsenal are evidently keen to keep him around and keep him happy.
Trossard has 19 goals and assists in 2024/25, with only Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka notching more. Left-wing rival Gabriel Martinelli is at 16, having played very slightly more minutes.
