Premier League champions Liverpool will hope to end the season on a high when they host Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Arne Slot has masterminded an impressive title triumph during his first season in charge at Anfield, but the Reds are now without a win in three matches since being confirmed as champions.
The Dutchman will therefore want to see his side finish the campaign with a victory against the Eagles, who they will also meet in the Community Shield at the start of next term.
Away from the action, however, it appears that Liverpool are closing in on a huge deal to sign one of Europe’s most wanted attackers.
As per Sacha Tavolieri, Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz has informed Bayern Munich that he will be joining Liverpool this summer.
The attacking midfielder is regarded as one of the finest talents in Europe at present but is expected to leave Leverkusen during the upcoming summer window.

He had previously been in talks about a possible move to Manchester City, but the Citizens were told that the 22-year-old would be joining Bayern.
Tavolieri claims, however, that the Germany international has now told the Bundesliga champions that he will in fact be moving to Anfield this summer.
It is claimed that Liverpool will now work to finalise an agreement with Leverkusen to sign the player, with the fee likely to be in the region of £125 million.
Wirtz has scored 57 goals and registered 65 assists in 197 matches for Leverkusen across all competitions, playing a key role as Xabi Alonso’s side won the Bundesliga title last term for the first time in the club’s history.
His current contract with Leverkusen is set to expire in 2027, but it appears increasingly likely that he will depart the club this summer.
