Manchester United’s disastrous campaign hit a new low with a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
A result that confirmed the club’s absence from all European competitions next season.
The mood around Old Trafford is arguably the worst it’s been in over a decade, with mounting pressure on new manager Ruben Amorim and serious questions over the club’s direction.

As the season winds down, international squads are beginning to take shape.
Several clubs are calling up young talents showing promise at club level.
Gabriele Biancheri called up to Canada squad
One of those players is United Academy forward Gabriele Biancheri.
Biancheri has been invited to join the Canada national team’s upcoming training camp, as per United’s official club website.
It’s a fresh and exciting opportunity for the 18-year-old, who continues to earn recognition for his development.
The call-up follows a recent involvement with Wales’ senior setup, where Biancheri was named in Craig Bellamy’s 29-man training squad in Spain.
The Cardiff-born striker has long been part of Wales’ youth system, making multiple appearances for the Under-19s this season.
Eligible to represent Wales, Italy, and Canada, Biancheri will now sample a different international environment under Jesse Marsch, the new Canada head coach.
“He’s a dynamic player, he’s very good around the goal,” Marsch said during a recent press conference.
“He’s a striker that can play up on the backline but also is good at coming underneath and connecting plays and being part of the build-up phase.”

Marsch also revealed he had productive conversations with both Biancheri and his family.
Thus, stressing how important it is for players to feel a genuine connection to the national team.
“I think this will be good for Gabe, to see what the experience is like, and then to see how he fits in.
“The striker position is competitive with us, but he’s still young, and I think he could have the opportunity to establish himself as a flexible player in the way we play.
“A little bit like how Jonathan David plays.”
Biancheri has trained with Manchester United’s first team several times this season and will now get a chance to impress on the international stage.
