Dan Burn is on course to sign a new Newcastle United contract.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed the best season of his career, establishing himself as a Newcastle United legend thanks to his goal at Wembley.
As well as shining in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup win, Dan Burn has excelled in the Premier League and won his first England cap.
The centre-back has been Newcastle United’s most consistent performer, and will reportedly extend his Toon career in the near future.
According to the Daily Mail, Burn has agreed terms over a new contract with the club.
His current deal expires in 2026, but it appears that the giant from Blyth will be putting pen to paper on an extension.

The next Newcastle United player who must sign a new contract
With Burn set to commit his future to the club, Newcastle United sporting director Paul Mitchell must next ensure that Alexander Isak follows suit.
Newcastle have told Isak they will not sell him this summer, with both parties set to discuss a contract extension very soon.
MORE NEWCASTLE STORIES
There will be pressure on the Magpies to offer the 25-year-old suitable terms, having regularly hyped him up in the media as one of the best strikers in the world. If they believe he is that, they must pay him accordingly.
Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Newcastle are willing to make Isak their highest paid player.
However, whether Isak accepts will likely depend on how highly they are willing to pay him. They will almost certainly need to propose a deal worth in excess of £200,000-a-week.
While Newcastle are protected by the fact that Isak has a deal until 2028, they are under pressure to get these contract negotiations right.
That has to be Paul Mitchell’s next priority behind the scenes.
Newcastle United open to two major deals
While Newcastle United get set to sit down with Isak and his representatives over a new deal, there are two more Toon superstars who could also be offered fresh terms.
That is according to TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey, who has told Geordie Boot Boys that Newcastle United are open to offering Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali new deals.
“Newcastle would be willing to extend their contracts, he said.
“Obviously Bruno is slightly different to Tonali because he’s got that release clause. Newcastle would like to get rid of it, ideally.
“Tonali has done fantastically well, so it would be a reward for his form. There are teams in Italy that would take him back.
“It is something that is on Newcastle’s radar that they are considering. There have been brief discussions, but not full-on talks, as such.”
