Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has endured a ‘stop-start’ campaign this season. The Brazil international arrived at N17 with high hopes in 2022 after a successful stint with Everton. But it is fair to say that the transfer has not quite worked out for the 28-year-old. He has just not got going this season and has also fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.
However, the Spurs No.9 did start the Europa League final on Wednesday night after putting in some consistent performances in recent weeks. The ex-Everton forward played on the left flank and put in a great shift to help the Lilywhites get over the line against Manchester United. Richarlison was more involved in the defensive aspect of the game and it is fair to say that he gave his all until he was subbed off.

As per Sofascore, the 28-year-old has featured in just 23 games in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists during that time. The Brazilian’s latest goal involvement for Spurs came in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals clash against Bodo/Glimt. The forward set up Brennan Johnson to give Tottenham the lead in the opening minute of the game.

There is no surprise that Tottenham need a massive squad overhaul in the summer. Even though the Lilywhites won the Europa league this season, but it is clear to see that the North London club needs to cash in on some players to bring in new signings. A major rebuild is required at N17 if Spurs want to build on the Europa League success next season.
It was reported earlier that Tottenham star Richarlison was made available in the transfer market and Everton were open to bring him to Merseyside again. But now, there is another update in the Brazilian’s transfer saga. As per TBR Football, Richarlison is pondering over a potential move away from Spurs. The forward wants to play regularly and he will keep that in mind before deciding his future.
The aforementioned report also adds that Everton have promised the Brazil international a leading role to kickstart the club’s new era at their brand-new stadium. The 28-year-old is aiming to feature in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and for that he will need to play regularly. While Spurs are in pressure to sell Richarlison in the summer, the Lilywhites would prefer to recover almost half of what they paid for him in 2022.

If Richarlison does end up leaving N17 for pastures new in the summer, Daniel Levy will need to bring in a quality replacement quickly.
