Cowboys George Pickens Clears Up Drama Following Hoax

FRISCO — The Dallas Cowboys shocked the rest of the league a few weeks ago with their trade for George Pickens. Fans wondered what the team would do with the No. 2 wide receiver position having not addressed it all offseason and the team came back with an emphatic response.

Pickens has since arrived at The Star and begun participating at OTAs. So far, so good for the player who was labeled as a trouble maker through his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Reports have surfaced since the trade detailing the rift between Pickens and Steelers' staff along with some of the veterans in the locker room. Not wanting to deal with him any longer, the Steelers turned to trading him away.

That paved the way for internet trolls to capitalize on the opportunity, posing as Pickens and posting criticisms of his former team. The strong reactions from that debacle forced the receiver to come out this week and set the record straight for fans that want to follow him.

"My new and only Twitter," Pickens posted on Instagram. "If don't come from here it [ain't real], so we can stop the bappin."

So with that now out of the way, hopefully the focus can turn strictly to football. Pickens and Dallas both seem excited about their union. First from the Cowboys' side, Pickens is a seamless fit and immediately upgrades their offense.

For Pickens, this is the change of scenery he needed. Not only will be play with the best quarterback of his NFL tenure in Dak Prescott, but also partners with CeeDee Lamb who is ready to carve up defenses with his No. 2, or truly his fellow No. 1 receiver.
