While Phil Foden is still just 24 years old, he's already achieved an incredible amount of success throughout his career with Manchester City. He's lifted a handful of trophies, including multiple Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy. Having spent his entire career at the Etihad, he's been blessed with an insane amount of talent around him in the former of some truly world-class teammates.
It's not just at club level that he's played with quality players, though. During his time with the England national team, Foden has had the chance to line up alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka. When it came to naming his two most talented teammates ever, though, he failed to mention anyone he played with for the Three Lions.
Instead, he picked two stars who he'd had the honour of teaming with at Manchester City and it's hard to argue with his choices.

Foden Named De Bruyne and David Silva as His Most Talented Teammates

While he played with some exceptional players with England, none compare to Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva in Foden's eyes as he named the pair the most talented footballers that he ever teamed up with. Both spent time with the star at the Etihad, with De Bruyne's time working alongside Foden set to come to an end once the 2024/25 campaign wraps up. The two have been playing together since 2017 when the Englishman first broke into the City team.
Foden only played with Silva for three years, with the Spaniard leaving Pep Guardiola's side in 2020, but their time together was more than enough for the attacking midfielder to leave a lasting impression on him. During an interview with the Times, he spoke about his most talented teammates ever and he named both De Bruyne and Silva. In quotes shared by SportBible, he said:
"There are so many but I always say David [Silva], he was my idol and stuff. But when I look at Kevin [De Bruyne], the numbers that he puts in, assists goals — I think those two are the most talented I’ve played with. Consistency as well. Never less than seven out of ten."
Silva ultimately left City in 2020 and moved to Real Sociedad. He spent three years with the Spanish club and played 93 times for them before he retired in 2023. De Bruyne is still at the Etihad with Foden, but announced in 2025 that he was set to leave the club in the summer, as they decided not to offer him a new deal. He's got no shortage of options going forward, though, with a number of high-profile teams all keen on adding the Belgian to their midfield.
