In his rookie season for the Denver Broncos, quarterback Box Nix was impressive, completing 376-of-567 passes for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 93.3 passer rating while also rushing for 430 yards and four touchdowns.
Not only did he put up solid numbers, but he also helped lead the Broncos to a 10-7 record and reach the playoffs, where they eventually lost to the Buffalo Bills 31-7 in the Wild-Card Round.
It marked their first winning season since 2016 and first playoff appearance since 2015, which has helped Nix establish himself as a favorite among many Colorado sports fans.
That becomes apparent by the fact that on Friday, the Colorado Rockies announced that he would be throwing out the first pitch before their matchup against the New York Yankees.
The news, though, has been met with many fans, who want Nix to stay far away from the Rockies, who boast an MLB-worst 8-42 record with a run differential of minus 159, while being on pace for their seventh straight losing season.
"They better not rub off any of their bad juju on my QB!!" said one comment.
"Don’t put any of your bad mojo on him," said another.
"Don’t rub your negativity on our boy plz," a third added.
A fourth stated, "I almost don’t even want bo to go near that dumpster fire.:
"Don’t do it @BoNix10! Don’t need that mojo on you or the @Broncos!" a fifth commented.
"Oh great. Now he’ll be undraftable in fantasy football this year," said another.

However, even without Nix involving himself with the Rockies, he and the Broncos may be facing an uphill battle in 2025, as ESPN BET gives them just the third-best odds (+400) to win the AFC West.
