Arsenal youngsters Max Dowman and Jack Porter were both in action as England U17s lost 4-2 to Italy at the European Championship for that age group.
The result leaves England in serious danger of being eliminated from the competition, with their final group game to come against Czechia on Monday.
Dowman played 70 minutes and showed some encouraging signs in the first half before being withdrawn in the second half.
Porter, meanwhile, made some good stops but was unable to keep out some of the efforts from an Italy side that are looking to retain the trophy that they won last year.
