The Olympics is set to be bigger in terms of viewers with the addition of flag football. The NFL passed a ruling that players could play in the growing sport starting with the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
This is a sport the U.S. should be a heavy favorite considering the American-born talent that can take place.
The Denver Broncos are certainly a team that could have some athletes, both present and past, take place in the competition. On Friday, the Broncos issued a social post asking for fan’s opinions on which players, both present and past, could represent their home country and the organization.
Many fans gave an interesting response.
One of the most liked responses is former wide receiver and return specialist Trindon Holliday. At 5-5; Holliday was limited in his playmaking abilities, but he was incredibly fast, explosive and elusive in his two seasons at Denver (2012-2013). In 64 punt returns, Holliday accounted for 605 yards and two touchdowns and 105 kickoff returns for 1,762 yards and four touchdowns.
Another touted selection is one of the most celebrated Broncos of all time; cornerback Champ Bailey. In his 10 seasons with the Broncos from 2004 to 2013, Bailey accumulated 599 total tackles, 524 solo tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 122 pass breakups and 34 interceptions.

Another response that was among the most liked was a fan mentioning former wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. He was one of the most talented and dynamic receivers for the Broncos in the 2010s. In eight and a half seasons, Thomas caught 665 receptions for 9.055 yards and 60 touchdowns. He was one of the most productive receivers in the league for five seasons from 2012 to 2016.
Other players mentioned by fans include reigning Defensive Player of the Year cornerback Pat Surtain Jr., outside linebacker Von Miller, wide receiver Wes Welker, quarterback Jake Plummer and tight end Shannon Sharpe.
