Xabi Alonsois expected to take over as the next manager of Real Madrid, and he’s already looking at ways to strengthen the squad, with one PSG midfielder reportedly catching his attention.
It won’t be a straightforward pursuit, though.
PSG’s midfield trio of Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, and João Neves has been instrumental in the team’s success this season. They’ve powered the club to the UEFA Champions League final, the Coupe de France final, and another Ligue 1 title.
Still, could amajor offer from Madrid force PSG—or even the player—to consider a move? A recent report linked Real Madrid with interest in Vitinha, and now a Spanish journalist has echoed that claim.

On Friday, L’Equipe’sLoïc Tanzi commented on the rumorsclaiming that Real Madridhave Vitinha on their radar.
“Ireally don’t have the info [on Real Madrid’s interest in Vitinha],” Tanzi said.“Butwhat I do know is that since QSI took over atPSG, when they want to keep a player, they keep him. We saw it with Verratti and Barcelona. Marquinhostoo—he wanted to leave for Barcelona for two years, and in the end, he stayed. If Luis Campos and Luis Enrique say no, he won’tleave.
They could put €100 million on the table—it’s no longer about money. He’s not going anywhere. That’s PSG’s advantage—it’s not about the money. And knowing how much Luis Enrique loves Vitinha, honestly, I don’t give Real Madrid much of a chance in this situation.”
🗣️"Depuis que QSI est arrivé au PSG, quand ils veulent garder un joueur, ils le gardent."
Pour @Tanziloic, le Real Madrid a peu de chances d'attirer Vitinha.

Recently,Rubén Cañizares, a journalist from ABC, spoke at length about this during his appearance on Rubén Martín’s Twitch channel. First, he made it clear that a large part of the money will be used to strengthen the midfield.
“When it comes to the central midfield spot, that’s where the money is,” Cañizares said. “There’s a lot of cash to sign a player there—it’s not going to come cheap. But I think what Real Madrid wants is practically impossible, which is why they’re not very sure yet. If the club could sign someone, it would be Vitinha, but theycan’t.”
A recent report from Defensa Central revealed that Jorge Mendes has already made PSG’s stance clear: if Vitinha wants to leave, it’ll cost no less than €130 million. That’s a steep asking price—one Real Madrid isn’t currently willing to meet.
