Eagles' Jalen Hurts Offers 'Very Clear' View Of Coach Change

Much has been made about the consistent changes that the Philadelphia Eagles have had to go through at their offensive coordinator and play-caller position since 2021.

Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts has had a new play-caller in ever season of his career since high school, and has found ways to excel despite the lack of stability at this point.

One of the more underrated needs for Philadelphia this offseason, though, was for a quarterback position coach. In the last three seasons Hurts has had three different coaches at the helm with that title.

As he prepares for the 2024 season, Hurts will have a new quarterback guide again - former Bowling Green head coach Scot Loeffler.

So far, though, things appear to be going well for both Loeffler and Hurts.

“It’s been good,” Hurts said via NFL reporter Ed Kracz. “He’s made it very clear that he’s here to enhance my game, and be a point of service in the room. He’s very knowledgeable, and I always value someone that can bring new ideas, new points of view, new perspectives to the table because ultimately I can put it in my toolbox and lean on it when I need to.

“I think there’s been great communications thus far. He’s very detailed in what he does. I’m just very excited for that journey and what it will look like.”

Hurts is looking to expand his work from last season after finishing with the second worst passing attack last year. With a new play-caller and quarterback coach, the odds are stacked against Philadelphia's quarterback for another season.

Just don't tell the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
