THE [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) ‘don’t have many options’ to play in midfield this weekend – with Lewis Cook suspended, Ryan Christie injured and Alex Scott a doubt.
Cook was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Nico at Manchester City on Tuesday night, leaving only Tyler Adams as an option as an out-and-out midfielder.
Ben Winterburn has featured in the first team this season from the development squad, while Scott may be available – but it is less than two weeks since he had surgery on his jaw after getting an elbow in the face from Tyrone Mings vs Aston Villa.
The Englishman trained on Friday, but he will have to wear a full-face mask if he is to play, and it will depend if he is comfortable enough to contribute, Andoni Iraola said.
And asked about his options in midfield, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “Really we don't have a lot. The only specific player we have is Tyler.
“We'll see if Alex can help us or not, but I don't know.
“We have a proper midfielder, Ben Winterburn, he played the other day with the second team but he's going to be ready also for us.
“And then it's about talking about other players changing a little bit the position and helping us there in the middle.
“We'll have to think because it's true that we are quite short there.”
