Manchester City make the trip to Fulham on Sunday afternoon looking to secure Champions League qualification on the final weekend of the Premier League season.

City head to Craven Cottage in third place in the Premier League table and need to hold on to a top five spot to book their place in Europe's premier competition next term.

They are currently two points clear of Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa, who are currently third, fourth and fifth in the table, and due to their superior goal difference to the Villans they just need a point in West London to book their place in the Champions League.

Defeat would leave them requiring favours from elsewhere with Newcastle hosting Everton, Chelsea travelling to Nottingham Forest and Villa making the trip to Manchester United.

So ahead of such an important game, it was a huge boost to City when Pep Guardiola confirmed only two players would be unavailable for the journey south.

Here is a look at who City will be without in the capital.

John Stones

Injury: Thigh

Stones was forced off after just eight minutes against Real Madrid earlier this year and it was feared he could require surgery and be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Those fears have now been realised as Guardiola confirmed he would be the only player missing from the trip to Fulham in Friday's press conference.

Stones will now aim to be back in action ahead of the Club World Cup opener against Moroccan side Wydad AC next month in Philadelphia, USA.

Possible return date: vs Wydad AC (N) - Friday, June 18

Mateo Kovacic

Injury: N/A

Kovacic won't miss the match through injury, rather through suspension after he was sent off in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday.

It means the Croatian international has picked up a ban and will the miss the final day trip to Fulham. Like Stones, he will be back in contention for the Club World Cup opener next month.
